Soft, safe and free of contaminants. Playground mulch is formulated from soft woods such as Pine and Spruce and the raw material is specifically chosen to avoid branches and twigs. It is then ground to a consistency of under 3/4″. Like all our wood only virgin raw material is used straight from the forest.
This mulch is produced in a manner consistent with the requirements for IPEMA certification without the extravagant certification price.
The recommended depth for playground mulch to be spread at is 6 inches. This should provide enough cushion if a child were to fall.
